Dieser Lauf wurde heuer zum ersten Mal durchgeführt.
Dabei galt es eine Strecke von 30,6 km und 1.550 hm von Bruneck auf den Kronplatz (90 % Asphalt) zu bewältigen. Am Tag darauf, dasselbe mit dem Rad. Für die, die mit dem 30 km Lauf zu weinig haben, können auch beides in Angriff nehmen, so gibt es auch eine Kombinationswertung (siehe eigenen Bericht).
Toni, Welli und Franz stellten sich der Herausforderung und bewerkstelligten beides.
Alex im Spital liegend, so hatte er sich nun doch nach seinem Handbruch leider auch einer OP unterziehen lassen müssen verhindert, und Tubl seit längerer Zeit bereits arbeitsbedingt ebenfalls verhindert.
Am Start, welcher um 09:30 Uhr statt fand, waren ca. 100 Läufer.
Seit längerer Zeit diese tolle (Kombi) Veranstaltung im Auge, konnte Welli und Franz gut und Toni durch seine Babypause etwas weniger gut vorbereitet an das anstehende Wochenende herantreten.
Respekt von der Distanz und den beiden bevorstehenden Tagen starteten wir allesamt mit „Hirn“, sodass wir nicht schon in den ersten flachen Kilometern die ganzen Körner „verschossen“, so ging das Rennen erst ab Kilometer 20 so richtig los, da ab dort die Steigung erheblich zunahm und kaum mehr größere „Erholungspassagen“ anzutreffen waren.
Welli voll motiviert, versuchte trotz allem gleich das Tempo mit Toni mitzugehen, was ihm letztendlich sehr gut gelang, im Gegenteil, Toni brach ca. 5 km vor dem Ziel etwas ein und konnte Welli nicht mehr folgen.
Franz immer im Gleichschritt mit weiteren Rennerclub Kollegen bis Kilometer 23. wo er sich ein wenig absetzten konnte.
Am Ende war Welli als Gesamt 10. und Kategorie 5. als Tagesbester von uns, sehr zufrieden. Toni nach hartem Kampf auf den letzten Kilometern gelang ebenfalls mit dem Gesamt 11. Platz und den Kategoriesieg ein weiterer guter Lauf. Und Franz war mit dem Gesamt 22. und dem Stockerlplatz (2. Rang) in seiner Kategorie mehr als zufrieden.
Gewonnen wurde das Rennen vom Sarner Hannes Rungger, vor dem Mitorganisator Hermann Achmüller und unserem Vinschger Topathleten Niederegger Thomas. Alle weitere Ergebnisse sind hier ersichtlich.
